Fresh cut grass and a sunsplit lip
Quit lookin at me from the corner of your eye
Red hot blood on a abalone shell
Well well, I think I just fell
I think I
In a half dead tree a week from now
You’ll be asking how
As you ride the wave to the corner store
You’ll be asking for more
Drip drip drip from a ribcage sky
Feels like I’m living in the belly of a whale
Shrink and swell so I hold my head and yell
Well well, I think I just fell
I think I
In a half dead tree a week from now
You’ll be asking how
As you ride the wave to the corner store
You’ll be asking for more
Can't remember the last time a band's hooks lodged so deeply in my mind. Hint of St Étienne, sprinkle of Dry Cleaning, but mainly a stonking 3-piece who create in 'Queens of Keesh' a semse of longing for something I didn't know I had lost. Brilliant. Beautiful. dozychuffer
Longtime Bay Area punk scene staple Mike Huguenor dials down the noise for a thoughtful record of peaceful electric guitar explorations. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 3, 2020
A fascinating document of a band finding its groove. It's got a drier sound and is rougher around the edges than "FOD", and some of these tracks feel more like experimental studies in rhythm/texture than proper songs. "Sunbeat" is especially weird, and I love them for it. Steven Moses
